Tulu Koota Kuwait successfully conducted a free Medical Check up & Consultation Camp, in BhartiyaVidyaBhavan, Abbasiya on 14th September 2012. The Camp was conducted in coordination with the Indian Doctors Forum, Kuwait Medical Association, Indian Dentist Alliance in Kuwait and the Kuwait Heart Foundation.

Tulu Koota Kuwait successfully conducted a free Medical Check up & Consultation Camp, in BhartiyaVidyaBhavan, Abbasiya on 14th September 2012. The Camp was conducted in coordination with the Indian Doctors Forum, Kuwait Medical Association, Indian Dentist Alliance in Kuwait and the Kuwait Heart Foundation.

People arrived in huge numbers to have a free medical check-up and went home with a satisfaction of being able to have a doctor consultation. The Medical Camp specially took place for all the people who do not have the opportunity or facility to undergo regular medical checkups at a regular clinic.

Doctors, Medical Staff, Volunteers worked tirelessly along with Tulu Koota Kuwait volunteers to help conduct a smooth medical camp. A total of 38 doctors, 9 dentists, 18 nurses and 4 lab technicians assisted the patients and there were around 825 consultations made. ECG & ULTRASOUND was conducted for the very first time in this camp.

Mr. Ramesh Kidiyoor, President of the Tulu Koota Kuwait, welcomed the dignitaries on to the dais at the end of the event. He asserted the fact the “Health is Wealth” and that no compromise can be made on health matters. He also shared with us a painful storyof a patient in Jahra who is in the Hospital fighting cancer due to negligence and improper initial medical assist. He said he was deeply moved due to this incidence and would not want anyone else to suffer as him.

Mr. H.K. Mohan, the First Secretary from the Indian Embassy said in his speech that he was very happy that Tulu Koota Kuwait organized an event of social work. He said that such camps are very helpful to the people who cannot afford proper medical check up in Kuwait where medicines and consultations are very expensive compared to what we have in India.

Dr. Ameer Ahmed, President of the Indian Doctors Forum spoke very high of Tulu Koota Kuwait and was very impressed at the way the camp was conducted smoothly without any confusion. He said that they have undertaken many medical camps and have see through at least a few hundred thousands of patients until date. Dr. John Manapalli, President of the Indian Dentist Alliance in Kuwait and Mr. Ramachandra, Chairman of the BhartiyaVidyaBhavan also spoke good words of appreciation for Tulu Koota Kuwait.

Mementos were given to the President of IDF & IDAIK, Chairman of the BhartiyaVidyaBhavan and all the Nurses and lab technician by Mr. H.K.Mohan the first Secretary from the Indian Embassy, TKK President Ramesh Kidiyoor, Advisors Mr. Sudhakar Shetty & Sathishchandra Shetty and TKK Welfare Officer Mr. Suresh Shyam Rao.

The Stage event was very well hosted by Mrs. Shobha Bhandary and concluded with a vote of thanks by the TKK Joint Secretary, Mrs. Jayalaxmi Karkal. The Sound was from Anand Illusions & Photography by Vinston Alphonso.

Refreshments were provided by Mingash Restaurant and Lunch by Oriental Restaurant.
