Tulu Koota Kuwait gives a warm farewell to Mr. Vivek Rao
When hearts are full, words fail. It was just the case at the Indian Public School hall, on Friday 1st June 2012, where Tulu Koota Kuwait gave Mr. Vivek Rao a warm farewell.
Mr. Vivek Rao was a founder member and President of Tulu Koota Kuwait in the year 2003 and currently a member of the Advisory Committee. He has been working at the Morad Yousuf Behbehani Company, Kuwait since last 42 years and has now decided to leave Kuwait and live the rest of his life in his native land of Mangalore. He was felicitated by the current President, Mr. Ramesh Kidiyoor and the Ex-President and current member of the Advisory Committee, Mr. Sudhakar Shetty, with a shawl, a basket of fruits and a memento.
Mr. Ramesh Kidiyoor, the President of Tulu Koota Kuwait said that it was a pleasure to work for him during his tenure and there is a lot to learn from the way he has lead his life as he has set an example for the youngsters to follow. Mr. Sudhakar Shetty said that he has worked very hard for the Association and his advice was always sort after.
Mr. VivekRao is a very soft spoken, kind hearted, and respectable personality. His knowledge concerning the Tulu language and culture has been very immense. The members of the committee and the people who have worked with him had only respectable words to speak about him. They spoke about the good work he has done and his easy going personality. His eyes were filled with tears while he spoke to the committee members and said he would wish well for the Association until his last breath.
Mr. Tharendra Shettigar, the Vice President hosted the program with brilliant choice of words for Mr. Vivek Rao and Mr. Sathya Narayan gave a final Vote of Thanks. The Program was concluded with a lunch in his honor by Oriental Restaurant.
