Jadoo ki Jhappi- (Magic of a Hug)

Jadoo ki jhappi- I think most of my young readers are aware of this word jadoo ki jhappi – but have you ever tried the magic of this jhappi or a hug?

As our society is progressing we are becoming more reluctant to show our emotions, our affection even within our family. Especially, when you are living abroad , far off from your relatives, your cousins, your grandparents expressing affection becomes more difficult. Recollect the times, when you are visiting India and when you see your cousin from some remote place in India, is it very easy to be friends with him or her? The first feeling that comes in mind is to take on the next flight back to Kuwait. You miss your friends in Kuwait, you miss your home in Kuwait, you miss everything that is just Kuwait.

At such times what would help you is becoming aware that you have moved out from your comfort zone, and you are opening your arms to a new world, to new relationship and new experiences.

Do you know the  first act of  life- The first act in our life is "crying".

Why do babies cry when they are born? It is because nine months we are carried in the soft warm womb of our mother, with her heartbeat to keep us company. As soon as we are born, we feel separated from this heart beat, but the moment the doctor returns us back to arms of our mother we feel so comfortable, as if we are back in to her womb. Our mothers hug makes us feel so loved and wanted and safe. Even as babies we feel so pleasant and comfortable when our mother hugs us.

Do you still remember your first day at school probably what soothed you most was the hug from your teacher , she hugged you amidst your tears and made you feel that she would care for you as your mom.

Remember the day when you were in pain due to bad tooth ache and had to be taken to the dentist, what soothed you most was a hug from your parents. So isn’t that hug really magical? And you carry this magic with you all the times,

Hugs are important. They have the magical power to feel and connect to another person. So next time you meet your grand parents, your uncles, your aunts whom you have never met before- and probably in a very different environment than your very own comfort zone. Remember that the  magic is within you. The magic to feel connected to people the magic to belong the environment "A hug will work wonders"

"Hug represents a million words" Have you ever tried hugging your old grand parents- your hug would mean a world to them. When you hug someone who is sad or upset, you immediately lift him up. A hug symbolizes a lot.  At times hug symbolizes your excitement and happiness, a hug brings comfort to one who is feeling low or insecure, when you say good bye and hug someone it symbolizes that you would carry the fond memories of this relationship wherever you are. So don’t miss any opportunity of passing the magic of hug to others. Your hug might bring magical transformation in some ones life.

Here is a beautiful poem

The Hug-   Author unknown

It's wonderful what a hug can do.

A hug can cheer you when you're blue.

A hug can say, "I love you so,"

Or, "Gee, I hate to see you go."

A hug is, "Welcome back again."

And, "Great to see you! Where've you been?"

A hug can soothe a small childs pain,

and bring a rainbow after rain.

The hug! There's just no doubt about it-

we scarcely could survive without it!

A hug delights and warms and charms.

It must be why God gave us arms.

A hug can break the language barrier,

and make your travels so much merrier.

No need to fret about your store of 'em,

the more you give, the more there's more of 'em.

So stretch those arms without delay

and give someone a hug today!
