Tulu Koota Kuwait newly elected Managing committee for 2014 had its first meeting with Indian Ambassador His Excellency Sunil Jain on Monday February 3, 2014.
The President of TKK Tharendra P. Shettigar briefed about the journey of Tulu Koota Kuwait since its inception and the Welfare Officer Ramesh S Bhandary explained about the various charity activities being carried out by TKK and Vice President Harish Bhandary and Cultural Secretary Suresh Salian spoke about cultural activities being planned for the year 2014. The 2014 calendar of events was also presented to the Ambassador.
The committee also discussed and explained the necessity of direct flight and enquired about the status of Air India Express direct flight to Mangalore. H.E. Sunil Jain told the committee that a letter has already been sent to Indian Aviation Ministry and their response is awaited now.
The Managing committee members thanked the Indian Embassy for the support being extended to Tulu Koota Kuwait to carry out their activities. The Indian Ambassador appreciated the good work of the Koota, especially the charity projects like Kidney Dialysis and Ambulance Donation.
